DISCLAIMER : This entry will be abt the attractions that we went in Singapore and some food that we enjoyed there. Have fun reading!
1. UNIVERSAL STUDIO SINGAPORE
*A-MUST-GO-PLACE*
We'd been here for the second day of our trip. And we spend THE WHOLE DAY playing like crazy in this theme park.
If you really like roller-coaster, you SHOULD try the grey one in the Sci-Fi section. It was super fun weh! I feel like riding it all over and over again. The red one is okay but I swear to God, the grey line will never disappoint you guys.
We were there on the first day of CNY 'cause I thought it will not be so crowded. But, guess what ? Ramai macam tu jugak. So these are the tips for those who don't want to buy the express ticket yet they still want to try the games.
- Google the USS map the night before/ anytime before the day you'll be going there.
- Aim/ list the main attractions that you wish to go the most.
For us, we chose to go to the Sci-Fi/ Transformers section first and we managed to cover all roller coasters there. Then we went to the Mummy. They have roller coaster here too!
The Madagascar and Far Far Away zone we tend to go there around dusk. Because nothing much fun here. It was just the show for the kids. So at night, when we went there, we got to watch the castle's colour started changing. I can pretty said that we were extremely amazed with that palace.
- If there is a single lane queue, line up there. It is way faster for you to get there. Plus, you get to meet new people while queuing.
Somehow it looked like a villian scene in a movie hahaha |
- If you take MRT, go to Harbour Front MRT.
- Take Exit E and walk to Vivo City. Go up to Level 3. You'll see on your left, the Sentosa ticketing counter.
- Buy a Sentosa Express tickets ($4.00) and go out at Waterfront Station.
- After that, just walk straight until you find Chili's restaurant on your right.
- Then turn right, you'll see the USS's globe. Yeay!
Oh btw, we bought our USS tickets from Asiatravel.com. Please be well-awared that you should print the VOUCHER sent to your e-mail and bring the printed documents to Counter 9.
If you cant manage to find the counter, find an escalator and go down to the bus' drop off lane there. You'll see few trusted agents' ticketing counter. Or to make things easier, you can just go to the Customer Service and ask for help.
2. SULTAN MOSQUE
@ Bugis.
The architectural design of the mosque is very nice. Fyi, tourists are able to get inside and have a mosque tour by the crew there regardless of any religion you are. You will be brought to go inside the mosque and learn the Islamic history and some interesting information shared by a group of very kind and friendly staffs.
[ HOW TO GET HERE ]
- Take MRT to Bugis station. Walk out the station and turn right. Move straight until you find a junction nearby Raffles Hospital.
- Cross the road and take right. Few hundreds meters from there, turn left and you'll get to see this beautiful mosque.
Environment there at Zuhr prayer time |
Just right in front of this mosque, there is a lot of Muslim Halal food restaurants. Hereby, I'll recommend to you guys a famous Muratabak Restaurant. ( Zam Zam restaurant )
Plus, the waiter is so cheerful and very helpful. Prices are still considered affordable hee :)
DON'T FORGET TO TRY THIS EVERYONE ! |
This is FREE ! So for those who are on tight budget, please please and please go there.
There are a lot of free places to go.
- Merlion Statue
- This is a place for those who seek any symbolic spot of Singapore.
- Garden By The Bay
- This one is optional for the fees. If you wish to up there at the bridge, you have to pay $8
But if you just want to watch the light show, you can sit at the space down there and wait for it
The show will be around 7.45 pm
- Marina Bay
- This is very tip top for the view. Normally at 8.30 pm, there will be a laser show. Can you see that Art and Science Musuem ? The flowery building. Yes. Go there and you'll learn something new and interesting !
- Shopping complex Marina Bay
- Sebab teringin nak tengok ( plus kami sesat actually ) kami masuk sini.
Serious talk, this is only for those wealthy people to shop till they drop lol
We dont eat anything fancy during our trip. Well we saved money actually. Hahaha. So for the food, every day, we had breakfast at our hostel. Bread and cereal. For lunch, once we had in USS but that one is super expensive (but it was delicious tho) for a set of rice and chicken curry. The other two days, we had lunch at Bugis area. Lastly for the dinner, we only ate instant noodle and some of our ration (bread and biscuits)
4. Others
For souvenir shopping, we went to Chinatown. It is reachable by MRT. So from the MRT station, you can go to platform A. That is where we shopped for the souvenirs. The prices are pretty affordable and you can bargain with them if you wish to buy the items in big quantity.
Besides this, you can also go to;
- Red Dot Museum
- Pearl's Hill Park
- Night market @ Chinatown
- The Pinnacle @ Tanjong Pagar ( this is one is $5 per entry)
- Mac Ritchie Reservoir Park. *I wished we were here. But due to time constraint, we weren't able to :(
- Singapore River ( cruise is here ! )
Hope these can help you guys!
Love,
Sya ♥
